Depew, OK is a picturesque historic
town located on an original 1920s concrete alignment
of Route 66. Originally a thriving oil boom
town, it dwindled to a shadow of its former
population. However, its legacy is a main street
lined with early statehood buildings, testimony
of the town's former grandeur.

Though many of the buildings are
currently unusable, their outer beauty remains
and enthusiastic citizens are transforming the
boarded up windows into canvases for faux stained
glass designs. The first one (left) highlights
Depew's connection to Route 66. Murals for two
areas of fencing are also planned. Click
